about this story
It’s a cold winter’s day in Bristol. A little old lady has lived alone for many years, for ages.
She lost her family in a terrible road accident a long time ago and she often relives the tragic event in her mind.
But now she knows her time has come. Soon she will see her handsome husband, Ben, so elegant in his dark suit and trimmed beard, she can still smell his distinctive aftershave. She will also see her daughter in her little red jacket, black shiny shoes and white socks. They are smiling and waiting for her with open arms at the end of a brightly coloured tunnel - she’s not sad anymore. So she closes her eyes for the last time and quietly leaves this world with a faint smile on her face. She gives her last sigh, and now she’s back with her loved ones.
