It was a stormy summer day, July 9th 2000. Alaric decided to go for a bike ride, since his family was at his cousins house. He sped down the steep roads of Maui, and around sharp turns. He had just moved from Boston for his moms new job, and hadn't had much time to explore the island much. He arrived at the beach just a few kilometers from his new home, and started to walk along it, while occasionally picking up shells and rocks to throw at the rough waves.
