about this story

An education is an important step into having an above average life in America. Having an education gives people the opportunity to be more literate which will give them a better chance in interviews for jobs. Only 20% of homeless people have a college degree meaning having a degree will likely prevent one from being homeless (WCWS.com) It also will prevent people from going to jail because only 5-6% of inmates have a college degree (prisonpolicy.org). Going to college gives one a sense of self because one can pursue a career that satisfies them and they can express themselves through their job and classes. The resources provided by colleges like study buildings and libraries are something someone without an enrollment in college, they will never experience.
College should be more accessible to young adults in America.
