Things were pretty normal and quiet on the internet streets (well away from the burning trash bins in Twitter alley).

A message comes from almost like a magical entity (not to be confused with Michigan J. Frog)--"The Flickr Foundation is born"

Under it, preserving public domain images will be in fashion for eternity.

And maybe just maybe we can tie things together for that long too.

Thanks Flickr for being there to do so much in the spirit of the original web wizards, even allowing this little story site to keep working.
