about this story
It’s 2011, about twelve years ago
I felt the joy in being in the first grade
I was excited to have fun, make friends, and grow
But at the same time i was afraid
Halloween was around the corner and so was my birthday
I was happy to turn six and see what first grade was about
October 22nd and I’m happy in every way
October 31st, dressed up as Mario and went out
Trick or Treating was fun , seeing everyone dress up in costumes
Walking through neighborhoods I saw a lot of trash
Walking past many buildings, i smell different fumes
I see people wearing masks
As the season as fall goes by
We’re finally get some snow
Right before Thanksgiving time flies by
As time goes on I continue to grow
Christmas movies and hot chocolate
I loved used my favorite mug and I felt quite pleasant
I was good this year as promised
So i hoped to get many presents
As the snow melts away I start to miss it more
Now I hear the birds chirping outside and flapping their wings
Though I’m sad, I look outside and open the door
I realize that flowers start to bloom, it’s finally spring
Grass and leaves return in sight
It starts to get warm
I know the way I’m feeling is right
I remembered that there would be many storms
