“I think I’ll go for a swim”, said he.
Into the water, wading deeper and deeper.
Water engulfed him, despite body’s plea.
Such was the tragedy of love.
Drowned beneath, an embrace of peace,
A scene of only her
Closing his eyes, he felt at ease
Such was the tragedy of love.
Upon waking, he encountered the door
Surrounding it perpetual emptiness
Opened, he set forward into the light forevermore.
Such was the tragedy of love
A nightmare becomes a reality.
The sight of his casket.
Her love lays in tranquility.
Such was the tragedy of love.
His peace summoned pain.
Through weeps, it drove her blindly
Far from her agony to a forgotten lane.
Such was the tragedy of love.
With a blank gaze, she stared at the sky.
What once was, now drained of life.
Emptiness, misery erupted with a sigh.
Such was the tragedy of love.
Pain overwhelmed. A choice decided.
Nothing has or will change
