I studied the intricate mosaic that graced my apartment stairwell as I left, only car keys in hand. I needed time alone to clear my head and made the two hour drive to the beach just in time to see the sunset. After sitting with my thoughts, I began the drive back home comforted by the night. But I knew I had to force myself to make one more stop - the dock, once our favorite spot - for closure. When I finally returned to my apartment building, the sun was shining and I felt the sense of a fresh start on the horizon.
