Why are people disappearing? That was the question before the City Council of a small town nestled deep in the bayou. The town manager began to notice clues around town that things were not quite right, a strange note left between a set of books in the public library and clothing left in strange places in public. While standing before the committee, a strange pinging began coming from the microphone, and the police chief began stammering about a signal overriding his radio call. Who or what is responsible for these strange occurrences? The answer seemed to lurk just beyond the corner, just out of reach.
