about this story
For the past 25 years, I have been working in the education system in various roles. My favorite roles always involved working with kids. I loved the energy of the unpredictable days and the reward of getting to know my students and what each of them taught me. It is amazing to look back and think that I originally wanted to be a veterinarian. I am happy that my life took me on a different journey, and the best part is that I still have a house full of dogs. The journey of life has so many twists and turns. About ten years ago, I had a medical scare. I had always wanted to travel but never did because life always got in the way. Since then, I have traveled to almost all 50 states and just started traveling overseas. Traveling has changed my life and how I view the world. The people I have met, the beauty I have seen, and the food I have indulged in have been nothing short of amazing. I have learned to take time to smell the flowers.
