about this story

- Technology and trading has made the world more connected economically and socially. Technology has made it so we have expanded access to not only information but each other as well.
- During the middle ages, the Asian spice trade connected Europe, Asia and Africa. There was an exchange of foods, ideas and cultures between these regions.
- Due to communication and transportation, globalization is happening more and more quickly today. Transportation is crucial to globalization due to goods, people and ideas making it across borders.
- We used to use camels in order to transport goods but now we use jet airplanes. The issue with using camels was the limitation of speed and quantity of goods that could be transported.
- The reason we communicate more quickly is due to technology and also providing customers with many more options to choose from.
