about this story

The five pictures together show the story of how elitism and racial discrimination work, and how we can fix it. The chickens represent how people are divided, with one group seen as "better" and the other as less important. The café or meeting picture shows the elite class, who have the chance to meet and talk, while others are left out because they don't "fit in." The alley with graffiti is a symbol of people who are treated unfairly and pushed to live in bad conditions because they’re denied the same chances. The telephone pole or urban decay shows the old systems and stereotypes that keep discrimination going. Finally, the community in a learning space gives hope, showing that if we come together and share opportunities, we can create a place where everyone is treated equally.
