about this story

Pic 1 (Introduction)

Some cultures have important artifacts or relics that might be important to them. These artifacts can be anywhere as large as the pyramids of Giza or as small as the crown jewel of the British Empire.

Pic 2

Some of the more portable artifacts were taken by invading powers, mainly Britain and France, and put in museums in their own countries.

Pic 3 (Counterargument)

Common critiques for not giving back the relics and artifacts by Britain and France are that in the museum they can be safe and Britain and France have the proper resources to care for the artifacts. These museums housing the stolen artifacts may also be reliant on the funds gained from showing those artifacts. Additionally, the artifacts are granted increased visibility than they normally would be able to in their own countries.

Pic 4

Some countries where these artifacts have been taken from are requesting for these artifacts back saying that Britain and France stole their history from them and it is morally unjust for Britain and France to hold onto them.

Pic 5 (Conclusion)

In conclusion, despite Britain and France giving more visibility and safety to the stolen relics, it is important for them to be given back to the nations they belong to as it is part of their history and culture, not Britain and France's. People need to be able to see their artifacts and history.
