風吹過時，草浪翻湧如低語。空氣裡有種乾淨卻陌生的味道，像是被遺忘多年的記憶重新甦醒。
我順著搖曳的草叢走進森林，樹木筆直、沉默，根系沉沒在黑水裡。沒有鳥鳴，沒有腳步聲，只有水面倒映著我以外的東西——一張極不協調的辦公桌，在林中毫無理由地存在著。
再往前，是一棟老建築。看得出曾經輝煌過，但牆上刻痕斑駁，像是被時間啃咬的痕跡。
門口有兩尊雕像，面無表情，卻總覺得牠們在偷偷看我。
裡面空無一人，卻傳來鍵盤敲擊聲。聲音來自地下的金庫，而那金庫門是開的。裡面只有一面鏡子，照出我穿著小學制服，滿臉空白地站著。明明是我，卻毫無熟悉感。
我逃了出來，路過一條蜿蜒的小溪。
那水不是流動的，而是像錄影帶重複倒轉，一直播放著某人跌入溪中的片段，畫面停在落水那刻，永遠凍結。
不知怎麼地，我來到一間教室。
黑板上寫著一行話：「自由與控制之間，你站在哪裡？」底下是空格，我提筆想寫下答案，但粉筆一落，整間教室像斷電般熄滅。
等我睜開眼，我又站回那片搖曳的草地，像一切從未開始過。
只是這次，草叢裡多了一張椅子。
而我記得，剛剛不是有個人坐在那裡……是誰來著？
