about this story
It was the day Gabriel had been waiting for all year—April 22nd, his birthday. For months, he had been dropping hints about how he wanted to celebrate. Finally, the day of the celebration arrived. His mom baked his favorite pie, which was his absolute favorite thing in the world. The pie was placed on the dinner table with the words "Happy 8th Birthday Gabriel" written on it. He blew the candle and everyone sang the Happy birthday song.
There were many guests, including his favorite uncle, and his grandparents. When it was time for dinner, everyone gathered for a solemn prayer, wishing that Gabriel would grow up to be a good boy.
As evening came, the celebration came to an end. To finish off his special day, his mom and dad read him his favorite book about animals. One of his favorite animals, of course, was the dinosaur—and birds too.
