about this story
As I sat down to a delicious vibrant meal I looked at my plate and found myself grateful for what was before me. Not just that, but the fact that I am here at all. I didn't get here by chance. I worked for it. Life is hard. That's not a new concept, and the way that it is hard changes. Sometimes you wake up and you feel, and maybe are, stuck like a rusty lock. A key isn't going to do it. You need something more. You are going to have to break free. Sounds impossible in that moment. You'll need to know more than where the goal is, you need to know where the hoop is. And if the hoop isn't there, make one. It might be a lonely journey. You might feel like a single flower instead of part of a bouquet. But you're not alone. And the rain always brings a rainbow. And we will be ok. I will be ok.
