With these five pictures I was reminded of my childhood and how I feel like I grew up entirely too fast. Its ironic that I was recently speaking to this with my friends and these were the photos that I had to select from. I always attempt to think back on my childhood and things I did that were "childlike" or peak "fun" but I always draw a blank. I come from a bit of dysfunction so childhood plays or things of that nature I don't recall ever participating in. This picture solidified for me how when I do start my family I plan to make plays and extracurricular activities for my children a priority. I feel that it is extremely important for a child to experience these simple pleasures. The Donald Duck photo reminds me of how as a child I used to always want to go to Disney World and see all the characters that came alive on my tv screen however, I never got the chance to witness it. Finances obviously played a part but when I think about it holistically my mother was young when she had me and my brother and went straight into work soon after so taking her kids to an amusement park was not in her bingo card of priorities. The speedometer is a testament to that by reflecting how I grew up too fast based on my environment and the responsibilities given. The fourth picture reminds me of my teenage years and attending college and how I was finally able to in a sense live my life for myself. The tattoo picture is a testament to how I found salvation in my tattoos.
