about this story
A group of five students—Emma, Noah, Ava, Liam, and Sophia—went on a field trip, but tragedy struck when Noah and Liam died in a boating accident. The remaining three—Emma, Ava, and Sophia—returned to school, pretending nothing happened.
Then a fire broke out, and Sophia was caught in the blaze. When the room was searched, a single note was found: "Meet me at 1612 Hotel St."
Emma and Ava, believing Sophia was still alive, went to the hotel. The building was abandoned, cold, and silent. As they searched the hallways, a door creaked open on its own, revealing a mirror. Inside, they saw not their reflections, but the faces of Noah and Liam, staring at them from the other side.
Suddenly, the door slammed shut. Ava screamed as a cold hand grasped her shoulder—but when Emma turned, there was nothing there. The last thing Emma heard was a whisper in the dark: "They’re not dead."
