about this story

CTE impacts individuals who play most combat sports. Football, hockey, and rugby have the highest rates of CTE. CTE brings about recklessness, and severely impacts decision making abilities. It can lead to drastic changes in an individual's personality, often leading to increased ego and delusions of grandeur. The NFL has seen it's fair share of CTE-induced crimes, suicides, and other horrifically reckless decisions. Sure, it might cause an overall restructuring of the sport, but I believe it to be well worth the effort, for the sake of the individual players.
