about this story
After graduating from high school and stepping into adulthood, I began my journey with only a few tools and no clear plan in mind. I wasn't sure where the road would lead, but I continued forward, navigating both familiar and unfamiliar experiences that helped shape who I am today. Along the way, that journey led me to accept a position as a first-grade teacher at J.P. Parks Elementary School. At Parks, I was surrounded by positive influences, meaningful experiences, and opportunities for growth. The possibilities I discovered as an educator were greater and brighter than I ever imagined. Through the support of colleagues, students, and families, I grew both personally and professionally. Now, I have reached a point where I can pause, reflect on how far I have come, and thoughtfully consider the next direction in my journey.
