Five Card Story: When Life Gives You a Desert

One day a man was walking through the desert and he complained that there was too much sunshine and no water. Thirsty, dazed, and confused, he finally made it to a lake with a long boardwalk. “Do my eyes deceive me?” The man pondered if what he was seeing was real or a mirage. He stumbled upon the boardwalk to get to the water, but his fast fashion sneakers had burned up in the dessert so he got splinters in his feet from the boardwalk. This did not make him feel confident about his situation. Too tired to move and no tweezers to remove his splinter, he sat on the edge of the boardwalk, and thought about the time he visited a magical place that only existed in black and white. The place was beautiful with stunning architecture, but unfortunately there was no color anywhere. Day turned to night and the sky turned bright orange as the sun began to set. With no food in sight, he wondered “is this the end for me?” But alas, NO, it wasn’t. Because his Amazon bike delivery that he ordered from the desert had finally arrived. All was well with the world once again.
