about this story
It was London, 1985, before the age of the mobile phone. The man was leaning against the empty phone box smiling stupidly. Across the road was a big sign - the man was looking at this sign and wondering whether he could get a job there. He finally entered the phone box as a group of girls walked past it talking and laughing. He was trying to call his girlfriend but he couldn't hear her voice because of the noise. Suddenly, he looked up. There was a strange object in the middle of the road. He was sure he hadn't seen it while he was standing outside the phone box? What could it be? In the corner of his eye, he saw the fire engine rushing down the street.....Earth had been invaded by strange looking beings dressed in skirts of flowers.
