My day started as each day did, with my grandmother coming into my room, bringing me my breakfast. She had a sad look on her face. Honey, I will be leaving you today. I have truely enjoyed being with you, but it is time for me to leave. Have a wonderful life and think of me often.
She put on her raincoat, raised her umbrella and went off down the road. I watched as she left, she never looked back.
Many years past. Each day I remembered my grandmother and al the kindness she had shown me. I became the person I am today because of her.
One night I had a dream. In the dream, I was visited by a snow white owl. The owl said that I would be going on a long journey. He said that at the end of the long journey I would get to see my grandmother once again.
The owl was right! I was sent on a trip to many foreign countries. I travels around the world. I kept looking for my grandmother. It Italy, I found her outside a great church, smiling down on everyone, just as she had smiled at me.
