It had been a busy week in the life of a cat, the pound had been out every night and Heny had hardly eaten anything all week. It was a quiet Sunday so Heny though he could take the risk and head out to see what he could find.
He can upon a large dumpster where he found an odd sqaure cube. "Mmm and interesting toy," he said to himself. But just as he started to move it with his paw a huge scull appeared in a puff of smoke above him. "You may have three wishes and three wishes only!" he declared. It was difficult for Heny to think. There were so many things that had kept his mind busy over the lonely night in the gutter. But there was always one thing he wanted more than anything. A loving family. It was then he decided he only needed one of the wishes. "I would like to use only one wish. To be part of a loving family who will love me forever."
"Are you sure that is all you want?" replied the skull, a little confused! He had never had someone so selfless!
"Yes, I am sure."
"In that case you will get your wish and plenty more. I will send you to a beautiful couple who have just married. They can't have children of their own so they will love you more that a cat has been loved before. You will spend your days in the comfort of a lovely house and be happy forever."
And true to his word, the skull started to swivel and the cat was instantly lying in front of a warm fire in a most romantic house with green walls.
