Songs, music and tunes are the peak of expression and communication. Yet songs, music and lighthearted tunes cannot possibly express the human desire for freedom in a way that does it justice.
Whips crack, echoing the thunder that screams at night, smashing through our meagre shelters of plant and dirt. Humanity, despite it's so called connection with God, is ultimately feeble compared to the brutality that we ourselves can muster along with nature. We all bow down to the thunder, even kings, and yet we quail more at simple monarchy than we do at the unequivocal power of nature.
In the dirt we treat, laboring, suffering, aching so that one of all can live in peace, prosperity and comfort. We do not question, the whip does not allow it. We ignore the dragons flying high, spreading fire, murder and outright beauty. Kings stare up in wonder, yet they become the only witnesses, and ultimately, they are the ones stricken by the brand of insanity from the subjects he forced into submition and ignorance.
In the end, imagination dwindles, the dragonfire fades, the kings forget and the subjects ignore, all for the lack of freedom.
