about this story

1. The woman is walking along a road, thinking about things that give her joy. In particular among many books, there is one - highlighted by a bow - that reminds her of her joy in the countryside.
2. Ellen is in London, and has overstayed her visa, so she is hiding out clandestinely in a loft. One day, she finds a hidden room, containing two shelves of books. In one - highlighted by a ribbon - she finds a note requesting help, that sends her along a road she feels she must follow to the end.
3. Ellen has met someone in the library who she is in love with. One day, in the library, she finds a book highlighted by a ribbon. Inside it is a note from her lover: "Meet me at the park."
