Shelly was driving down the freeway one evening. Her hands tense and mind racing. All she could think about was that crazy friend who had invited her to this meeting. This was completely out of her comfort zone. All Shelly wanted to do was race away in the opposite direction. Then, Shelly felt something like a knocking on her heart. Realizing that she was overwhelming herself with negative thoughts, she harnessed her painful fears. She pictured them at their utter worst and silently yelled "Bring it on! I love pain! Pain sets me free!"
Without evening thinking she pressed harder on the gas pedal and continued to drive to the business meeting. Confident in her ability to be social with her friend and the strangers at the meeting.
