about this story

At first, there were just empty spaces, blank slates, to create my visions. I built the toys I played with from wooden sticks, rainbows forming in my hand. As I grew, the ways in which I learned remained untraditional, and teachers could never follow my thought. I was told that I wouldn't amount to anything. But they just couldn't hear the music in my mind, couldn't feel the joy in my fingers, couldn't know my desire to create. I contemplated for a while: How could I change the world around me to fit my needs? What about the other students out there, living like me? I learned to teach and to inspire and to encourage students to live through their senses, not through their test scores. I now live to kindle the flames within the minds of younger generations.
