about this story

A couple years ago, I went with a group of people to visit villages in Morocco. I felt out of place in these villages; kind of like a pigeon. I felt uncomfortable speaking to people in the villages because I thought that they would think that I was ignorant. In order to counter my insecurities, I saw the figure which represented my insecurities, a big white truck, and I accepted it and stopped worrying. I knew that whatever people thought, God's grace and love was sufficient. Then through the fog of my cross-cultural experience, I was able to enjoy the conversation and the meals with the villagers.
