about this story
This was intended to be a fun night out, until work phoned with an emergency and I remembered all the deadlines that needed to be met. Just like that an enjoyable evening became stressful as my worries piled up. How I wished I was thousands of miles away from the worries of life, like a baby animal who is cared for every minute. I took a deep breath and reminded myself that God is in control of everything, even the future and that he cares for me on a personal level. Silently I gave thanks for good friends and a job that is exciting and challenging and I felt my stress fade away as love for God replaced the worry in my heart.
