about this story

There once was a turtle and a hare. The hare would always make fun of the turtle calling him slow and unathletic. All these mean and hateful words made the turtle sad and upset. Turtle would try to escape the hare but he just couldn't quite elude the quick hare. So one day Turtle challenged Hare to a race. Sir Turtle said, "If I win this race you, Hare, shall leave me alone forever." The hare burst into hysterical laughter saying, "HA! You Sir Turtle shall never outrun me!” The hare accepted and the turtle told the hare where and when to meet. The next day the hare and Sir Turtle met in the streets of Italy. Their friends and family members gathered at the finish line to see who would be the ultimate victor. The blue jay counted down from 3…2…1…GO! The race was on! The hare demolished Sir Turtle leaving him in the dust. But fret not did the poor turtle. Continued on with his march did he. The hare saw a water spicket and he decided to take a drink. The hare fell into a slumber. Meanwhile Sir Turtle climbed onto the roof of a building. The hare woke up and started running to the finish line. At the properly timed moment the turtle leaped off the roof and nailed the hare in the face killing him and also crossing the finish line at the same time. Forever Sir Turtle lived in peace without the pestering hare to get in his way.
