about this story

It is soft and yielding, yet the stuff of the greatest army of Earth.
Devastating it is, yet indispensable.
The waves of the ocean carries it inland onto the shore, where it erodes any obstruction.
Not even the giants can stand against it.
And so, soft like a young girl, it brings down even all the greatest warriors made of boulders,
who can stand the test of time but are not patient enough to beat the young girl.
After its victory, it fills the land with its beings and allies, like steamrollers.
It offers its allies habitats and protection.
Its enemies, like men, are ill-treated after their bitter defeat.
It displaces them, drowns them, and separates them, sometimes permanently.
It is murderous, yet is also a protector of life.
The clouds employ it, which defends Earth from waves of invasions from the Sun.
When it retires from the ranks, it humbly sacrifices itself, skyfalling.
Bravely, humbly, but helpfully
Its blood is not wasted, for greenish beings benefit from it.
And all other souls too, all that I know of.
Upon its glorious returns, it fights bravely, full of honor, sacrifices itself, and dies helpfully again, and again, and again…
