about this story

The green giant

There once was a giant, tall and green,

His feet firmly planted in the ground

He provided a home for the small

And food for the hungry

He had never harmed a fly

A young Jack sought to take the gold that grew on his trunk

So he struck him down like a vengeful knight

The other giants could do nothing more than watch.

SMASH the giant hit the ground with force of lightning and the boom of thunder

The giant could not fight back like an ant against a boot

This was all for gold that is all it ever was about

In the end was it worth it?

The sun would never again shine though his branches

The small were now homeless and the hungry now starved

In the end was it worth it?
