about this story
I love going to the park! There is so much to do, especially on a warm, sunny day. Sometimes I play by myself while Mom sits on the bench. Sometimes she plays with me and leaves my sweater on the bench, holding our place for later when we want to rest.
There are some interesting statues in the park. I am fascinated by the frog in the statue by the pond. I wonder if I will ever be able to catch a frog that big.
I also love it when my friends come to the park, too. We play together and sometimes we bring our hula hoops and have a contest. I am really good at the hula hoop! We laugh at each other and have a great time.
After playing all morning, it is really nice to sit under the trees and have a picnic lunch. Then, we will lay back on the blanket, watch the birds in the trees, and drift off into dreamland. I always dream about the next time I get to come to the park.
