about this story

Once a year the state fair comes to Texas (fair park). It is the time of year I reach into my brain and open the old east dallas side, of which I grew up but now it seems to sink farther away each year. I leave my life in the classroom and the burbs. Return home each fall, I often wonder if this will be the last.
