It was almost as if someone had picked my body from where I was sleeping and dropped me into a whole other world. I woke up with my face down on the ground. I could hear the familiar song of birds sing around me but I quickly realized that this was not a place I was familiar with at all. I raised and took a look around me with disbelief. Where was I? How did I get here? I felt anger, I just wanted to go home. I wondered the woods trying to piece together the puzzle of my whereabouts. I was dirty, hungry and frustrated. The woods seemed to go on forever. I felt despair and believed that I would never find my way home. Suddenly, I hear some scurrying in the leaves and I hide behind a large tree trying to get a look of what creature could be lurking close by. I saw an assembly of people file through the wood's pathway. They were wearing long blue dresses with yellow and red accents. They were speaking a language I could not understand and they did not look like anyone from my hometown. My anxiety quickly kicked in and my mind went wild. Who are they? What will happen if they found me in their woods - a foreigner? Will they harm me? I turned my back flat upon the tree and tried to think of an escape plan. The only thing I could think of was to run. I turned back around to see where abouts they were in front of me. As soon as I turned and peaked behind the tree, I came face to face with the largest woman of the pack. Two other woman took a hold of me and restrained me. The large, stranger woman walked around me with a judgemental look on her face. She appeared to be looking for clues as to who I was and what I doing lingering in this place. I pleaded for my freedom but my pleads were not understood. They instructed with their actions to me to cooperate and follow them. They took me to the top of a mountain. From this place, you could see the a beautiful view of the land below. For a moment, I forgot about everything that mattered in my life: work, deadlines, pleasing my boss, and my new job promotion. Those things did possess any importance in my mind. I followed them into a pond where they bathed me and made me clean. I could feel by the way they were treating me that they were not harmful. Now, they cared for me with gentle hands. They dried me and clothed me with the same beautiful blue garments each of them wore. As we continued to walk, to where I was not sure, we passed bushes of white flowers. We stopped there for awhile to pick these flowers by the bouquets. Some flowers were placed on my robe. These woman worked diligently to attach these floral accents upon my robe with precision and detail. Again, I felt like these woman cared for me and were not going to harm me. I felt so much love by these woman who were still strangers to me. I could not communicate to them with words by only with my expression in my eyes. Perhaps, they could sense my hopelessness of life. The largest woman appeared again. She threw the remaining white flowers around me chanting a song while the other hummed and danced around me in a circle. She smiled at me and hugged me. That evening, we shared in a feast of many meats, colourful vegetables and water. I felt a huge sensation of joy. They had clothed me, fed me and welcomed me as one of their own. I now have a family. I never had one before. When I put my work ahead of my husband, he had abandoned me for another woman. I had nothing to live for besides my demanding job. I asked myself, why I had been put there? I had never felt so much unconditional love until I had come here. It is still a mystery how I was put here but it does not matter anymore. Now, I have a family who care about me and who I care about as well. I am no longer stressed or consumed by my job. I am finally living.
