about this story

Yesterday 5th grade went on a field trip to Washington, D.C. to the National Museum at the Smithsonian. The two museums we visited were the Museum of Natural History and The Air & Space Museum. In the Natural History Museum, in the gift shop, they had a display of different colorful rocks that you fill a bag with for $6! Also in the museum there was a mummy display. We saw the different gods and goddesses that people used to worship in ancient times. As we were walking to the Air & Space Museum, we could see the Capitol building. They were doing work on it. In the Air and Space Museum, there was a McDonald's. We decided to get some food to eat on the way home. We really didn't need the snacks for the ride home. As we were exiting D.C., I could see in some sections of town that there were many abandoned buildings as well as others that were being renovated.
