about this story
Alex Rodriguez is a famous baseball player, that has influenced many children. He has encouraged them to accomplish their dreams, no matter what! That is why I chose to do my project over him. Here are a few things that I found interesting about him.
Alex was born in Washington Heights, New York. He was born on July 27, 1975. He was introduced to baseball as a young child. Him and his father played together all the time. On day his father walked out on him. His mother struggled to support the family. During that time Alex became depressed and stopped playing baseball. Then one day reality hit, he needs to play baseball. Without it he couldn't go to college, or help support his mom. So he started practicing again!
When he turned 15 he began to work, to help his mom. He had less time to practice, but still was the best one on the team. He kept practicing and practicing until one day he was finally drafted!
He played for the New York Yankee's! He was an inspiration! He had gone through such a horrible child hood. His love for baseball is what kept him from quitting. Many people were inspired to his story. He made an impact on many peoples lives!
