about this story

It was a day just like any other, except it wasn't. His skateboard clicked along the sidewalk as he coasted down the hill toward the cemetery at the end of the block. This was a route he usually avoided, but today was different. He could see the tall headstones popping up in front of him as he approached. The sun was shining but he couldn't feel it's warm touch. Clouds were forming as he approached the entrance where a large Colosseum like tomb loomed ahead. He stepped off his skateboard and crossed the cemetery threshold on foot as the sun disappeared and things became dark. A shiver ran up his spine. He passed a tree and noticed a flyer nailed to it. He took a closer look as frost started to creep around his feet. The flyer was for a boy that had gone missing on this route 3 months ago. A boy who looked very familiar. As he brushed off dirt from the photo to get a better look, he failed to notice the frost had turned to ice and was climbing up his legs, anchoring him to the earth. It didn't matter though, the photo had frozen him in place already for he was looking at a picture of himself. The realization that HIS own face was staring back at him dawned on him as the frost engulfed the rest of his body- turning him into a permanent grave as fate caught up with him. It had brought him home at last. The End.
