The race began as the sun broke the horizon. He'd been dreaming of this day for months and it finally arrived. As he went through a tunnel, hugging the turn, all of a sudden the lights went out and he was surrounded by neon ropes that started enclosing in on him. He closed his eyes as he peddled fast and faster hoping to escape this strange neon tunnel and suddenly felt a salty breeze on his face. He opened his eyes just in time to swerve to the left before riding off a cliff into the ocean! He banked left down the hill and found himself getting whipped by leaves on either side as he hurled down the slope. The leaves were getting so dense that he had to throw his arm over his eyes to protect them! His wheel hit something and suddenly he was falling....falling..falling into a dense mist...as he opened his eyes again he saw the golden gate bridge on either side of him..could he make the landing he wondered? Right as he was about to crash into the asphalt....he suddenly woke up in a cold sweat. He HAD been dreaming. Only 1 more day until the race he thought...as he slowly fell back asleep.
