about this story

It was a beautiful sunny day on my beautiful paradise of 50 acres of land. I rushed to the barn eager to start riding on the trail. It was such a hot day so I needed to ride one of my horses maybe even getting a little wet. Once groomed and tacked up I led my beautiful blued eyed painted horse beauty Dakota out of the barn. Once on I already could feel the cold breeze of the morning air on my face. I could tell Dakota was certainly exited when she took off galloping through the woods. I don' blame her it almost seems like my 5 acres of my riding trail is special. I find tons of animals in the woods that I bring to my vet that I'm in charge of. We rode through the streams and I did not mind when my boots went for a little swim in the water. Then Dakota decided that she was ready to get even more wet and trotted to the lake. But suddenly she reared up and her ears pinned back. What happened? I talked to her with soothing words and carefully got off. Still holding on to the reins I walked closer to the lake and saw a tiny, hairy, wet black head sticking out of the water. I could of not of been a snake, right? Then the creature walked up to the shore. A black shaggy looking wet dog came out. Poor thing. He looked scared and cold. Without even a word Dakota knew what to do,she stepped back and let me do what I needed to do. I walked up to the dog and carefully picked him up. He cried but he had a relieved look in his eye. Once back I put Dakota back and headed to the vet. After checking for anything bad the dog looked fine. But he was tired. I set him down in a little doggy bed and walked away to my house in silence. The next morning I decided that I was going to keep this friendly dog. So I grabbed the dog and a spare leash and a collar and walked to the nearest little town. As soon as we got there his tail wagged happily. I guess he realized he had a home now. We spent several hours shopping for his own doggie stuff. Even though have lots of dogs already I love getting each dog there own stuff. Once done with shopping we went to get some food and a drink. I set everything up for Scout his name now. After that I went back to the barn for another trail ride. This time I rode my beautiful painted horse Samson. We took off through the woods and it was very hot. It was afternoon so we needed to go to the lake for sure. Samson splashed through the shallow part of the small lake and I got off him and led him through the water. Suddenly I felt a slimy thing on my shoulder. I turned around to see a beautiful frog resting on my shoulder. Samson tried to eat it but I turned his head away. Then I picked it up and carefully placed it in the water. But it suddenly struggled to swim and drowned to the bottom. Confused I picked the frog up again only to see his back leg broken. It was flimsy and was almost about to fall off. So again I took it back to the vet. After fixing its leg I placed it into a big tank full of water and plants.
