September melted into October as fast as quickly as the leaves turned. Grandpa and Uncle Joe were reminiscing on the good old days when autumn was a time for celebration rather than sadness. As the leaves fell, moods around that small town of ours did too. The only positivity left was the sun in those seasonal flowers. The only thing we had to look forward to was the Sunday sermon. As the Bible says, "God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all" 1 John 1:5.
