Once upon a time, on a remote island in a beautiful blue ocean, Eric committed to 15 days of active learning strategies in which he would develop PD and his web of impact. In order to grow and blossom as a teacher leader, he would need to complete all assignments.
As he was working diligently on his work, he experienced many challenges and difficulties. However, by building capacity and creating his unit, he eventually was ready to submit that precious unit for his first EQuIP review with his peers. Once the unit was submitted for review, Eric bravely began to teach his unit to his class. Once he was done, he knew he needed to analyze his students' work and collect samples for high, medium, and low. This would get him prepared for Summer Days and final editing on his unit to get it ready for final submission.
As Eric proudly submitted his unit for the network's website, there were jubilant celebrations and acclamation. When asked how he had managed to survive his year of island life, he said, "I never could have made it without my three amazing, supportive, gorgeous coaches. They supported me and helped me learn and grow as a teacher leader. I thank them."
