It's been a rough few months and I've probably had more mixed drinks in the last 2 year than I've had in the last 10. I attribute this to the stress of my job, yet I realize I should truly be looking for better ways to deal with the stress by getting out into some fresh air. I often wonder about the amount of blood, sweat, and tears put into daily tasks, sometimes feels unappreciated and tossed aside, but then I remember, the reasons we are educators and those feelings are replaced with the knowledge that we are doing meaningful work. Someday, 3-6 years from now, I'll look back on all of this (after retirement) and know that I was able to positively impact and I will be at peace knowing I served in an honorable profession.
