about this story

Coach Jay calls for a 30 second timeout and tells his basketball team, "Today is not the day to give up on your dreams. In fact, today is the day you must dig deeper than ever before! Look back over the summer and reflect on all those long runs this team had to complete in the hot scorching open field. This team deserves VICTORY! This team is already champions in my book! There is 3 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter, so make up your mind right here and right now! All that sweat and tears during the summer has gotten you here to this Championship game! Last year, we were considered the underdogs during the entire season. You worked hard and now, we are playing against the #1 team in the state. Our team motto this year was to remain PATIENT and success will come! You waited for your moment and this team overcame adversity through patience and collaboration. Each and every one of you worked together to reach this opportunity as a team. You were able to get to this championship game and flourish as a team. Now you are state champions and the VICTORY is yours!!!!
