The epidemic hit fast, too fast for any chance of studying a cure, and as expected the whole world was in confusion. Some people were ravaging their towns and pillaging for supplies or weapons, as far as the public knew the disease spread through any kind of contact to humans, it could be a sneeze, or a kiss or anything of the sort. Most people were shot on the spot or exiled if they showed signs of the decaying skin that the disease caused, if you were contaminated you would turn into a useless lumbering corpse, not aggressive, not bloodthirsty, just a walking skeleton long from who you once were. before long cell towers and power was cut off from the entire world, streets were left empty and houses lay dormant. Society was nothing, just a long gone piece of history. Though people lived on, created small establishments or family farms, after about fifty years the disease slowed its deadly touch. Those who were infected withered away to nothing and those who survived lived on as it was always meant to be.
