It is important in life for people at a young age to receive love and affection from their parents and build relationships with those around them. If people grow up not experiencing enough human interactions then they will end up becoming very lonely. Studies show that experiencing chronic feelings of loneliness, living alone and poor social connections are as bad for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. This may lead to them coping through outlets such as social media. Social media can be a bad place to turn to for connections because it's tendency to further disconnect people from the physical world. Social media can add feelings of self consciousness and not being able to enjoy the life and wonderful things they have around them. Being able to get outside and interact with people and the world is extremely important in life.
