It's nice to go out and celebrate. It helps give a change of environment and you see other people. But most people these days can be sitting in a group of friends and still be hooked up to their electronics. For some people this is more comforting and less tiring than going out and celebrating. This can in turn cause a crack in the relationships. I actually had a friend who came to my house from NY for my birthday. She wouldn't get off her phone or spend time with me no matter how much I tried. Due to repeated actions like this, we fell apart. So go out, enjoy time with your loved ones. After all, that's the key to being happy and making memories. Going out makes people happy as they're doing something different.
