about this story

Jason looked up at the pole covered in papers representing many things. Job ads, concerts, festivals, but all Jason was focused on was a poster with a familiar face on it with the words "MISSING PERSON" printed above it. He starred at it for a while, observing the picture of the boy with a smiling face, his face. Jason hadn't showed that expressed in a long time. He turned away from the pole and continued to walk down the sidewalk, people bumping into him without even noticing he was there in the first place. He kept walking until he came upon a bridge. A bridge so familiar to him. One he walked across every day noticing all sorts of events around him such as the young couple arguing in the car, the birds flying in the sky, the young mother with her newborn child. Jason saw so many things that nothing seemed interesting to him anymore yet he still took the time to walk on the bridge. After he finally got across it, he headed to a location he chose not to visit often, the graveyard. He spent hours wandering through it, seeing the gray stones covered in flowers and cards, graves of people who were remembered. Not Jason though, nobody remembered him. He got up from the grave he sat in front of and decided to head out. He came to the building he once lived in as a child. A place that once brought him comfort but only gave him sorrow. He climbed along the stairs until he finally came up to the rooftop and walked along to the end of the building. He took a seat and swung his legs over the end staring at the sunset. Jason looked down at the statue below him and saw a body. One that looked like one he'd seen before. Jason squinted and chills ran down his spine. It was him. He was staring back into his eyes with a smug smirk on his face. The man who had taken Jason's life without anyone knowing.
