On a cold dreary Saturday morning, a haggard VCU graduate student made his way up the Powhite Parkway to attend his Communications and Research class with Dr. Becker. As he arrived on campus, the police were clearing the area because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Due to his excitement about starting his final class in the doctorate program, the student completely forgot the class would be taught online. The idea of not being with his peers for another class reminded him of being all alone in an unfamiliar field. To ease the suffering, he treated himself to a quarter pounder and cheese combo from McDonald's.
