Five Card Story: When the forest tried to kill us

about this story
After school one day, my friend and I took a different route home. As usually we pasted the cherry red building, but instead of going up the road we went through the forest that everyone said was haunted. We thought they were just myths at the time. People have said they’ve seen people go in and never come out, we didn’t believe it until we experienced it. When we first got in we saw this beautiful sparkling lake and we stayed there for a few minutes, but that's not when things got weird. As we kept walking through the rough dirt and beat up grass we came to this opening, as we stood there bush and vines started coming out the ground, but these weren’t normal, these had spikes all over them and it looked as if venom was leaking out of them. As they got closer, I saw an escape, I pulled my friend and ran. We found ourselves on a free-way where someone came to help, then took us home. After that I have never gone back.
